NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today that it took home eight awards at InfoComm 2017, including an AV Technology Best of Show Award and several rAVe Best of InfoComm awards, including Best Booth, Best Demo and a Readers' Choice Award. And for the second year in a row, NEC Display was also tapped for a Global Excellence Award from the Global Presence Alliance.

The buzz at InfoComm this year was about NEC Display's Virtularium demo, which took home rAVe's Best of InfoComm 2017 Demo award. The demo was a partner integration that featured 18 large format displays arranged in a 180 degree, 9x2 configuration that created an immersive, virtual reality "cave". The demo also featured stacked laser projectors, as well as directional audio and content creation by partners HoloNyne and Brown Innovations.
The demo was just one part of NEC Display's booth, which also won rAVe's award for Best Booth at show. NEC Display's booth featured a wide array of customer-centric digital signage solutions for a variety of market verticals including broadcast solutions, command & control, education, retail and more.
NEC Display also received accolades for its industry leading, 6,500-Lumen NEC-PA653UL installation laser projector, capturing both an AV Technology Best of Show Award and rAVe Best High-End Fixed Install Projector Award. Designed for education and corporate uses, the laser projector was lauded by judges for having the world's first filter-free and maintenance-free design that reduces total cost of ownership. With 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, customers can expect less downtime and maximum return on investment while delivering bright high-resolution images.
NEC Display also took home an award from rAVe for Best New Digital Signage Media Player for its Raspberry Pi and Mosaic solutions, which allows users to synchronize workspaces across multiple displays through a Raspberry Pi device either integrated into the display or installed externally.
NEC Display's MultiSync EX341R Curved Display also had a strong showing, taking home rAVe's award for Most Creative New Display Product. The new display excels at tasks such as finance and control where it wraps around users and can scale with multiple displays, creating an immersive display.
In addition, rAVe Publicationsreaders named NEC Display as their Favorite Manufacturer Sales Support Team in the 2017 Readers' Choice Awards. Readers chose NEC Display in recognition of its commitment to customer satisfaction, improving the user experience, and for selling complete solutions that help solve business challenges. More than 86,000 readers vote in the Readers' Choice Awards, recognizing recipients as being best in class in AV products, companies, and technologies.
Finally, for the second year in a row, NEC Display won a Global Excellence Award from the Global Presence Alliance. The award is presented annually to the leading audio, video, and unified communications manufacturers and vendors who show the highest level of commitment to delivering a superior customer experience worldwide. Winners are chosen based on product innovation, technical support, sales and marketing programs, commercial flexibility, and commitment to global deployment and support programs.
